There are Two Kinds of People

The Do’ers … and the Watchers.
I’m tired of watchers.
These are the people who have ‘suggestions,’ or who post ‘you should do this’ posts … but most of all they armchair quarterback and criticize the action of the Do’ers. They are the people who add nothing to the conversation with their talking and ‘input.’ They think their opinion is important and they should have an equal say on virtually everything. They spend their time forwarding ‘must see’ or ‘this is really good’ posts from other watchers. They follow multiple Facebook/Telegram/Twitter accounts and forward anything they think is good as if they are actually doing something important. They add nothing to the world. They are clowns in a circus = they dance around and make people laugh, but the highwire act are the ones risking their lives.
I’m cutting the Watchers out of my life as much as I possibly can.
I’m going to spend WAY more time with my ‘Do’er’ friends. I want to be inspired by those who get sh!t done … by those who make things happen and who put their lives and livelihoods on the line for what they believe. These are my people.
There are people who, because of circumstances, cannot do as much as they might want. People like moms, or busy business owners or those with elderly or other dependents to care for. They are usually found doing things like baking cookies or making signs or providing other personal services = there are many ways to be a Do’er when you can’t man the front lines. These people add to the cause. They are Doing what they can, even though they don’t have the money or resources to add to the front lines of the cause. There are options of ‘Doing’ other than sitting on social media forwarding other BS posts from other Watchers.
You Are The Average Of The 5 People You Spend The Most Time With
This is a popular saying. There is truth in it. I’m going to surround myself with people who are Do’ers. I want to be the average of people who are making a difference in the world today. If you are spending your time on Facebook … beat it. There are people making history. Forwarding Facebook posts is not where things are happening. I’m on a quest to spend time with others who are giving more than just forwarding posts.
This brings me to preps.
There are people who do a lot of talking about the concept of preparation. They might even say they are ‘ready to write the cheque’ for being prepared. But when the time comes, they are empty = they have nothing to give, nothing to add. They are the foolish virgins asking the prep’d for some extra oil. (If you don’t understand this reference, you need to find God!)
