2023 and older. Mostly news, politics and The Covid Wars which I don't care much about anymore. I've changed in many ways. I no longer think that voting can fix anything or that the two parties (Canada or US) are different than each other. I no longer support cops. I believe that the only solution to Canada's issues is when Jesus comes back and sets up His kingdom here. Can't wait for that to happen!

  • 2022 is Going To Be Epic

Reviewing 2021 is tough. On one hand, the tyranny ramped up and is going through the roof. On the other hand, the same tyranny has moved me out of places I didn’t belong and into friend groups I would never have found without said tyranny.

Further, the events of the past year have caused me to reflect on my priorities regarding business, my family and my home. This reflection and subsequent reprioritization has been good and has brought me back more in line with God’s order. I had forgotten how important the household is and how the gift of children comes with huge responsibility. It really helps when the System of the Beast becomes so obvious.

  • World Leaders Setting the Stage for 2022

    Canada Trudeau:

“They [the unvaxxed] don’t believe in science/progress and are very often misogynistic and racist….This leads us, as a leader and as a country, to make a choice: Do we tolerate these people?”

    https://twitter.com/MaximeBernier/status/1475841292961820677

    United States Biden:

For unvaccinated: We are looking at a winter of severe illness and death, if you’re unvaccinated. For themselves, their family, and the hospital they’ll soon overwhelm. Omicron is here. It’s gonna start to spread much more rapidly at the beginning of the year, and the only real protection is to get your shot.

Get vaccinated now. I, honest to God, believe it’s your patriotic duty.

    Israel Naftali Bennett:

When you don’t get vaccinated, you’re endangering yourself, you’re endangering those around you, and it’s life-threatening. It’s as if you’re walking around with a machine gun firing Delta variants at people.

  • A Dream Root Cellar

This is the cellar of my dreams. Stone. Wine casks. Sourkraut. Canned goods.

It’s a little sparse, but the look is amazing and we would easily see it full maybe with a few Hams and some herbs hanging from the ceiling.

  • Sleeping Kings

… at the time when kings go forth to battle …

    2 Sam 11:1

There used to be a time when kings knew it was time to go to battle.

Many Christians today don’t even know they are in a war. They have not taken on the armor of God, nor are their lamps lit with oil to spare while watching for the bridegroom. They are asleep … or worse, they attack those who are carefully watching. Taking on the armor of God and watching should characterize the Christian in these end times.

Lets take a look at a few sleeping kings in Scripture.

    Jonah

Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.

    Jonah 1:5

Jonah had been given a commission from God to warn Nineveh of coming judgement. Not only did he go the opposite direction, but he was fast asleep in the bottom of the ship while the storm was brewing. Just like Jonah, God has given us a commission: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15.) So how are we performing? Have we gone out to the whole world (that can mean the world you operate in,) and told others of Christ? Or are you sleeping in your safe little church with your pastor doing all the work while you passively receive in the pews.

Will God have to send a storm into your life to wake you up? Illness or worse, death? What will wake you up? Who else will have to pay the price for your inaction? The storm threatened all the people in the ship, not just Jonah. Lots to think about with this sleeping king.

    Samson

And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

    Judges 16:19-20

Samson was already dabbling with fire by hanging out with a woman of the enemy, Delilah. To make the situation worse, he gave away the secret of his strength and then went to sleep on her lap. Remember, this was while hanging out in the heart of the enemy. The Philistines were camped all around … and he was sleeping. And he paid the price.

God has given you strength. It is not our own strength, it is the power we have in trusting God and His Son, Jesus Christ. The enemy, the Philistines, have surrounded us. In many ways we are just an island in a sea of wickedness. Are you sleeping in the lap of the enemy? Have you brought the world into your home through your TV? Do your children attend the school of Satan … learning all the twisted evil inversions of the world today? Do you immerse yourself in Facebook and Twitter instead of God’s Word?

Don’t sleep with the enemy. Wake up.

    The Disciples

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

And he came and found them asleep: for their eyes were heavy.

Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

    Matt 26:38, 43, 45 and 46

The Lord had just told the disciples that one of the 12 was going to betray Him. Then Judas disappeared. He brought them along to the garden to watch out for Him … and they went to sleep.

This is probably the best example of sleeping kings that translates into the world we find ourselves in today. Their instruction from the Lord was: watch. Not only that, but they knew that the snake Judas was MIA. Yet they fell asleep.

This is the average Churchian today. The Lord has told us to watch. Even more, we have the blueprint of the end times; essentially what to watch for … but the Churchian is sleeping. The Lord has even told us what the enemy looks like. He has told us that they are coming to murder us. Yet the Churchian says to those watching, ‘take your battle somewhere else, we want peace here.’ Other Churchians declare that ‘keeping the peace is doing the Lord’s work.’ ‘We should all get along,’ and ‘we are all on the same team,’ are mantra’s of the Churchian.

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

    Deu 25:4

If you are not going to fight the battle, at least don’t muzzle those that are doing the work you refuse to do. Better yet, wake up! This does not mean you need to be belligerent or antagonistic, but it does mean that when you meet evil in the course of the day, you don’t shy away from the fight, and ‘try to get along.’ Call out evil when you see it.

  • The Potato Hack – Part 2

This is where we see what happens when I go back to semi-paleo eating for a couple of days.  I know a lot of my weight loss this past week was water weight, but how much?  I don’t plan on eating sugar or grains (paleo style) but I do plan on having a bit of alcohol (wine) and I plan to eat … well, hard.  I enjoy my food.  Of course, that is part of my weight problem, so I plan to enjoy my food well for the next couple of days and then get back on the potato horse.

    Part 2 – Day 1 Breakfast … lol.

    Part 2 - Day 1 Breakfast
    Part 2 – Day 1 Breakfast

Now THAT is a VLC Keto style breakfast … lol.  Gotta get some carbs in there at some point.

  • Dirty Dancing and Abortion

All credit for this post goes to Owen Benjamin who did a great D-Live about this film.

Before I begin, I have to confess that as a young man growing up in the 80’s, I fell for this movie and others like it.  Flashdance, Footloose, 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, Top Gun, the list can go on for ever = these were at best morally bankrupt, but I would now argue, evil to the core.  I’m horrified at my 16 yr old self and the garbage I was titillated by.  Horrified.

    First a quick outline.

    • Morally bankrupt girl 1 spreads herself and gets pregnant.
    • Morally bankrupt girl 2 supplies the money and means for MB1 to get a back alley abortion
    • MB2 then does a lot of suggestive dancing with Morally bankrupt guy 1 … to the joy of pedo’s everywhere.  (He was supposedly only 3 yrs older, but the visual difference in age is a lot more suggestive than what the storyline calls for.  Her movie name is Baby if that makes the pedoline more clear for you.
    • MB1 is bleeding badly and needs help.
    • MB2 gets her father involved who is a doctor.  He does not condemn the abortion itself, but rather condemns his daughter for hiding the abortion from him.  See what they did there?  Abortion is not bad.  Not being open about the abortion is.
    • MB2 father forbids her to have anything further to do with MBG1
    • MB2 disobeys her father and, of course, spreads her legs for MBG1 … they are in love you know.
    • The movie ends with MB2 and MBG1 in a suggestive dance that everyone, father included approves of.  All things evil are now good and approved.

So.  A movie geared for teens, in an age of hyper-sexuality with the moral lesson that premarital sex among teens is good and if the unintended consequence invariably happens, there is a perfectly reasonable answer = abortion. Sick.

  • 48 Hour Man: Live Your Life in 48 Hour Chunks

This is one of the main changes that I’ve made in my Rapid Change Project.  No longer can I live minute to minute or even day to day.  I need to work on something for 48 hours to:

    • Get it done!
    • Feel a sense of accomplishment
    • Not lose interest
    • Feel like the end is always in sight
    • Reward myself

Ya, I know.  Just another trick to productivity.  But no.  I’m telling you, in light of how I now view change (Rapid vs Slow) that this change was the framework that I used for all my change stacks.
